[tin-users] How does tin set the cursor pointer (i.e. changes it from I-beam to an arrow)?

I'm running tin 2.6.2 on Debian 12 Linux (though I doubt if that's
really relevant).

I want to know how tin changes the default I-beam cursor that one gets
in terminal windows to the arrow pointer one sees in tin. I want to
get that arrow pointer in some other applications too if I can.

If it's significant I'm using xfce-terminal for my terminal windows, I
don't see the same cursor change when I run tin in a 'real' xterm.
