[tin-users] Separate News Servers for Reading and Posting

Hey All,

I was a pretty big Usenet participant back in the heyday of the late
80's through the early 2000's, but I primarily used trn as my
newsreader.

I'm exploring the possiblity of reinvigorating my participation on
Usenet, such as it is at this time, and I've found that trn is no
longer under development and in fact is not even available in the
repos for my OS, Fedora.

So I've landed on tin, and I'm looking forward to getting up to speed
on it.

In the olden days, I did all of my news-related business via my ISP,
which had its own news spool. This is no longer possible, so I naively
signed up for a NNTP news server, and, after the fact, I learned that
it uses separate server IP addresses for reading and posting. Is it
possible to handle this situation with tin?

Many thanks for keeping this newsreader alive, and for any help you
may provide!

cheers,
john
